QA Engineer (Web & Mobile)
Protect the quality of PickleHunter across responsive web, Android and iOS journeys. You will test the complete experience a player, club or organizer follows, including identity, conversations, court booking, tournament registration, payments, refunds and operational dashboards. This role requires curiosity and discipline. You will go beyond checking screens by understanding state changes, permissions, time-sensitive rules and failure conditions, then turn findings into precise evidence the engineering team can act on.
- Prepare risk-based test plans, test cases and release checklists. - Test complete web and mobile journeys across supported devices and browsers. - Verify APIs, database effects, authorization boundaries and notification behaviour. - Perform functional, regression, exploratory and responsive-layout testing. - Document defects with exact steps, expected behaviour, evidence and severity. - Re-test fixes and maintain a focused regression suite for critical flows. - Work with developers before release and participate in post-release verification. - Help introduce practical test automation for repeatable high-value scenarios.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline (B.Tech, B.E., BCA or B.Sc IT). MCA is welcome. Candidates with another bachelor's degree may be considered when supported by formal software-testing training and relevant experience.
1-4 years
- Strong understanding of functional, regression and exploratory testing. - Experience testing responsive websites and Android or iOS applications. - Ability to test REST APIs using Postman or a comparable tool. - Ability to read logs, inspect network requests and validate database outcomes. - Excellent defect writing and attention to edge cases. - Understanding of payments, booking systems or marketplace workflows is an advantage. - Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Appium or another automation tool is preferred. - Calm, evidence-led communication and ownership through closure.
